Convincing users to switch

The current challenge is to convinced home owners to use our platform instead of going directly to suppliers and installers. This has been hardest to do so far because some habits don't change. The way to win them over to our platform is to provide them with 10x speed, information, and a one stop experience within a few clicks.

Competing with foreigners

Foreigner installers that have direct access to tiles have been cut throating the industry for a long time. There are 2 strategies to overcome this. First strategy is to get them onboard the platform to serve as a low end installation tier. The second strategy is to provide services and information that will be of unfair advantage towards them. We cannot deter them entirely, but focus on customers that are willing to pay more for a better experience and service.

Getting users to understand how to use our service

Users may be reluctant to learn how to use a new service. Although our service is not hard to use if you pay slight attention, it may still be friction to some.

Using the service but not ordering from us

There are chances users are free loading on our service and end up not ordering tiles from us and directly ordering from an unknown source. The solution is to negotiate a better rate from suppliers to allow us to be competitive in pricing. There may be contractors or installers that may use our online tools without hiring our onboard installers however if we can provide a convenient way to order tiles, they may still order tiles from us as we deliver them to their working site. We can't prevent 100% free loading, however we can strive to focus on providing better customer experience so that we can win them over.

Information complexity and tailoring to customized needs.

The information given on our platform may be too generalize to some who needed more customized content. We have plans to create more customized filters in the future. However, our focus at the moment is to educate the users without relying on a sales assistance into delivering the same information and actually deliver far more superior information that a typical sales person may not have. Having too much information may deter a certain customer segment. Not everyone is interested in knowing too much about the information of their flooring.

Delay in purchase

The larger the investment, the longer it will take for the customer to decide on a purchase. And since there is no pressure from sales executive to purchase immediately, sales may be delayed or cancelled. Although it is inevitable, we hope that every decision made by the customer on our platform is comfortable and with utmost confident that adds to the customer experience.
